The term "cystic" is often used to describe any type of inflammatory acne aggressively, but only those whose acne becoming cysts can claim to have cystic acne. The most serious kind of acne blemishes are cysts, they are recognizable by their sensation of sweetness that is in fact fluid-filled growths or lumps under the skin surface and can be extremely painful.
