How do I get my GP to refer to a dermatologist?
I had severe acne for more than 6 years. He has had an impact enormous impact on my social life, I get rejected by other people my age who do not suffer as I do. For the last 2 years I have attended some meetings all with my GP. And every time I get a prescription for an ointment. Until far, 12 have been tried antibiotic creams. All have had a lot of my patience, and none of them have helped to reduce inflammation painful. In my opinion, it is time I referred to a skin specialist, so how can I go to the doctor about this?
You generally do not need a reference, you can make an appointment with the specialist and ask them about it. I know many people who go to a derm when they have something wrong with them on the skin … damn, that's what I personally. I do not need a doctor GP to take a stab at me when I want a mole removed, or complete a rash Derm seen 20 times day. If you want your GP to recommend someone, just ask. Tell him "You know, we were not very far with this is, do you know a good Derm you may be able to send it to me? "In general, they do not mind doing such a thing. Just keep mind, you do not need a GP referral to see a dermatologist.
