When you think of skin care, naturally "the man" did not come to mind. The first things that come to mind when it comes to skin care are women, models, and everything to do with fashion and beauty. The truth is that many men are very proud to have healthy skin as women. A trip to the spa for a massage is not unusual for many men who have their own praise on the back for their impeccable manicure and radiant skin. Black men were given special attention to their skin because they are more prone to ingrown hairs, dark circles, keloids, and dry skin.

Ingrown Hair Issues

Black men with no hair coarse are sensitive to ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Ingrown hairs can be painful and can cause infection or even permanent scars. This is less common among men with fair skin or hair is not as rude.

To alleviate this problem, men should use a facial cleanser before shaving (glycolic acid). Exfoliation with a cleaner should soften the skin to allow easier removal if you're brave enough to do with a good pair of tweezers.

Rings

Many men suffer from these "crescent" shaped dark circles under the eyes. While in Caucasians, is normally due to a lack of sleep, the veins being exposed through the delicate skin or allergies, many males black this is due to superficial pigmentation.

There are a variety of treatments available, including creams to lighten the area, resurfacing laser, or even surgery to remove the excess skin. Creams May remove discoloration, but no pockets, and surgery removes pockets but not fading.

Dry Skin

This is certainly not a condition that black men only treat, but dry skin can give a dusty appearance to the skin tones darker. If you suffer from dry skin, a moisturizer is highly recommended.

Keloid

Often confused with cancer, keloids are masses of scar tissue that can occur after a cut or infection. It may also result from the acne that is irritated. Men Blacks are more prone to keloids because their skin is a lot of melanin.

Normal treatment for keloids is injected cortisone or interferon. Cryosurgery or laser resurfacing is another option. To reduce the formation of keloids, it is recommended to treat cuts and abrasions immediately. A visit to your doctor is also recommended if you notice any skin discoloration abnormal.

Regardless of color, men should take care of their skin, to keep alive and healthy.
